We are proud to include Byers' Choice Carolers in our product catalog. All Byers' Choice Caroler dolls, figurines and decorative props are hand made and hand painted in the USA. Due to them being hand-made, no two carolers are exactly alike. Each time you purchase a Caroler you are buying a one-of-a-kind piece.
Byers' Choice Carolers are the creation of Joyce Byers, who saw a need for better made, warmer and more tactile Christmas decorations. With a degree in fashion design and a flair for art, she set out to make timeless decorations that respected the holiday.
Each Byers' Choice Caroler is made with coat hangers as the "skeleton" of the doll. The doll is fleshed out with tissue paper and the hand-made and hand-painted heads are attached. The doll is then dressed in the clothing that fits the theme of the family of dolls or the time period the doll represents.
Byers' Choice offers a number of timeless Caroler collections: Traditional and Victorian Shopping Families shopping for Christmas; Specialty Families with gingerbread, instruments, wearing dusters, holding wreaths and ice skating; a number of different Santa Claus dolls for the Santa collectors; Williamsburg families; and themed collections ranging from the Civil War to Thanksgiving to The Salvation Army, The Twelve Days of Christmas and The night before Christmas. Some collections offer African American dolls, also. These collections are also complimented by a number of decorative pieces to add context to your Byers' Choice Carolers' scenes. Of course, they also offer a pastor, mailman, various vendors, toymaker, clockmaker and a number of cat and dog figurines. All pieces are hand-made in Pennsylvania.
