Pimpernel creates environmentally-friendly, beautifully decorative, highly functional place mats and coasters that are heat, scuff mark and stain resistant. They feature a durable silk surface finish. Pimpernel was founded in 1933 and was the original producer of rigid placemats and coasters. Pimpernel offers a large selection of designs and is known for their superior quality. Pimpernel uses high quality cork and eucalyptus wood harvested from managed forests. The placemats and coasters use a 5mm board that is topped with an art print and sealed with a high quality lacquer finish. The Pimpernel placemats and coasters are stain resistant and can withstand heat to 100 degrees C. A hard cork backing is added to the back of each placemat and coaster to protect your furniture.
The Pimpernel dinner place mats may be purchased in sets of four mats. The placemats measure 12" wide x 16" long. Pimpernel coasters are sold in sets of six and measure 4.25" square.
Pimpernel also creates melamine sandwich trays and larger serving trays to complement many of the placemat and coaster collections. Pimpernel melamine is durable and robust and can be washed in the dishwasher. Pimpernel melamine trays are created to be used for any occasion.
