Buying Polish pottery can be confusing. There are a number of factories in Poland in which Polish pottery is made. Some factories are better than others. Polish pottery factories are basically co-op groups of artisans who make Polish pottery. The price of Polish pottery varies, also-the more intricate the design, the more costly.
We are proud to offer Polish pottery from the oldest and most prestigious factory in Boleslawiec, Poland--the Zaklady factory. There are a number of factories in Poland today that produce lesser quality and less ornate pottery. The Polish pottery we sell is first quality pottery.
We focus on six Polish pottery designs that include: design 175A, 41A, DU1, DU8, DU60 and DU70. Each piece is handcrafted, hand-painted and glazed by hand using the Bunzlauer sponging technique. The pottery is made of fine clay and fired at 2200 degrees. The high firing temperature makes each piece resistant to chipping and scratching. All Polish Pottery items are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.
