The Portmeirion Pomona dinnerware and cookware Collection was designed in 1982 by artist Susan Williams Ellis. This desirable collection features nine fruit motifs inspired by a collection of 1830's books. The fruit motifs include: Late Duke Cherry, Hoary Morning Apple, Roman Apricot, The Wild Blackberry, Teinton Squash Pear, Grimwoods Royal George, Fruit Garland, White Sweetwater Grape, Apple Trophy and The Ingestre Pippin. New motifs and pieces are introduced each year. The dishes feature a "romantic" shape based on the rounded forms of fruits and gourds. The Pomona Collection is named after the ancient "Goddess of Fruit" - Pomona.
The Pomona dinnerware pieces are sold in assorted sets of six. You will receive one each of the six current designs.
