Mariposa metalware is made of a proprietary recycled aluminum alloy to ensure luster and durability. Mariposa metal pieces may be warmed in the oven at 350 degrees are food safe and will not tarnish. Handwash with warm water, mild soap and towel dry immediately. Do not use metal pieces in the microwave and do not wash in the dishwasher. Avoid prolonged contact with water, acidic foods and salt. To prevent discoloration from these items, coat lightly with oil. Cutting directly on the surface will scratch the surface. Ceramic and glass items unadorned with metal are dishwasher and microwave safe.
