Pillivuyt French Porcelain Casseroles, Terrines & Lion's Head Tureens

Pillivuyt terrines and casseroles are made of high quality French porcelain. The quality of a porcelain casserole or terrine is evident by looking at the lid and how it fits with the body of the casserole or terrine. Pillivuyt fires all their lids and casseroles together at 2500 degrees Fahrenheit to insure that the piece performs in the oven and that the pieces fit perfectly. Dishwasher, microwave, oven and broiler safe.

Pillivuyt is renown for their lion's head tureens. Each is finished off by hand by skilled craftsmen and craftswomen. Carving the foot of the tureen is done by hand and the lion's heads for the handles are applied to the outside before the last firing to insure that there is no dimple on the inside of the tureen.
