The Cantaria Collection has the durability of traditional stoneware but it is not as heavy as you might expect regular stoneware to be. This is from the fine, thin, stoneware base that the Skyros company has used for this collection. This caramel colored centerpiece bowl is no less than spectacular. I might use it as a fruit bowl or even consider a wonderful silk floral arrangement for my dining room table in this magnificent bowl! The shape is so unique that it can be used for a large serving bowl as well! My favorite part is the irregular, hammered texture that only comes from the fact that each piece is hand made and no two pieces are exactly alike. Also consider that each piece is hand painted and you truly are buying a unique work of art. Add the fact the each piece of the Cantaria collection is chip resistant, freezer, oven, dishwasher, and microwave safe, and you will see that that this dinnerware is quite a value for your money. The centerpiece bowl measures 14.4 inches in diameter by 4.24 inches in height. Each piece is proudly handmade in Portugal, and I am sure that you will find many more uses for this magnificent bowl than I have mentioned!
