Herend Porcelain Figurines

Herend Porcelain Figurines
In 1826, the Herend Porcelain Manufactory began creating porcelain dinnerware in Hungary. In the 1870s, the already well-establish company added handcrafted figurines. The first Herend figurines were folk figurines and eventually animals were created. The demand for the porcelain animal figurines was high by the 1930's. Distinctive Decor has a fabulous array of Herend Porcelain Figurines including the adorable Herend Porcelain Animal Figurines. Herend figurines are decorated with the Herend signature fishnet design as well as 24 karat accents. The trademark fishnet design originated in 1874 with an artist who was trying to imitate a fish scale design that he had seen on a Chinese plate while he was painting feathers on a rooster. From there, the fishnet design spring boarded into a trademark. Bring home the joy of Herend with Herend Porcelain Figurines and start a new tradition in your family.
